In-Library Browsing and Contactless Services

The Manchester-by-the-Sea (MBTS) Public Library has instituted in-library browsing at scheduled 45-minute intervals two days a week. Curbside pickup days and hours have been extended. Click the links below for more information.

Library Trustees and staff continue to monitor the Coronavirus situation and will make necessary changes to these services if the situation warrants.

Take advantage of all the virtual offerings the Library has for our patrons.

  • Browsing Reservations / Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning December 1; call to schedule 45-minute browsing in the Library.
  • Curbside Pickup / This is a contactless service. Place holds on items through the Online Public Access Catalog.
  • Home Delivery / Patrons finding it difficult to take advantage of Curbside Pickup, can arrange to get items delivered to them.
  • ThinkPad Notebooks, YOGA Tablets, Hotspots / MBTS Patrons can borrow for 7 days.
  • Library Card Registration / If you are a Manchester resident and would like to avail yourself of all that your library card can offer, but you don’t have a card, register online for a temporary card.
  • Personalized Recommendation Forms / Our online readers’ advisory form will let a Library staff member create a reading list for Adults, Teens, Children.
  • Virtual Library / Free access to online resources that bring the Library to your home. Take a course, do research, stream a movie.
