On Thursday, March 14 at 6:30 pm, the Manchester-by-the-Sea Public library presents Catherine Johnson, the creator and author of “Assembling a Cooking Life & Eating Art Work”. She will be discussing the collaboration of food and memoirs in relation to the Manchester community reads book “Blood, Bones and Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef” by Gabrielle Hamilton. The Manchester library will have a fun and delicious wine tasting program on Thursday, March 28 at 6:30 pm with Erica McKenzie. Enjoy a selection of red and white wines from the various countries that chef Gabrielle Hamilton, author of Blood, Bones and Butter, traveled to that eventually led to the tales featured in her book.

Family Swordsmanship Inc. will teach us about history and techniques from medieval times. Participants will get to practice these sword fighting techniques against the Guard Up! staff using safe, practice swords.
