    Social Security : Your Questions Answered

    The Manchester Public Library will welcome local financial advisor for Edward Jones, Partick Meehan. He will be giving a seminar to discuss information concerning Social Security and the best time to file for it. Light refreshments will be served.

    LUCAS Demonstration with Lt. Timothy H. Crosbie

    Lt. Crosbie will be demonstrating the LUCAS chest compression system. The device is designed to deliver uninterrupted compressions at a consistent rate and depth to help improve a patient's chance for a successful outcome during CPR.

    Open 1-5 PM - May the Fourth Be With You Star Wars Program

    This is our last open Sunday for the season. If you enjoyed these afternoon hours please let us know, email manchester at mvlc.org.
    We are marking "May the Fourth" with a Star Wars symposium at 2 PM. Come dressed as a character for the costume contest, bring your show & tell items, learn about the history of Star Wars, join in a trivia contest and more!     New Thing Charity Visit with Doug and Kristina Brendel

    The Manchester Public Library will welcome Doug & Kristina Brendel of the New Thing charity organization. Their goal is to support those living in the impoverished country of Belarus by raising funds to provide citizens, many of whom were affected by Chernobyl, with the utensils they need to survive.

    Paper Airplane Contest

    4th Annual Paper Airplane Contest!
    Grades K-Teen (must be able to make a good crease or have a partner that can!) We will make several paper airplanes and then hold a contest for distance and for length of loft! We begin by crafting your best airplane designs and testing them, and some other examples inside. We will have “runs” inside from the balcony for which designs stay aloft longest and runs outside for distance. Please register 978 526-2016 or scollins at mvlc.org.

    PACE Elder Care Information Session

    Thursday, May 15 at 6:30 PM. PACE ~ (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is part of the non-profit, national organization associated with Elder Services Plan of the North Shore. They provide health care and coordinate supportive and in home services. Their goal is to keep seniors living in their own homes and communities.
