Every winter since 2004 the Library has offered a
town-wide reading experience called "Manchester Reads," first sponsored by a
Library Services and Technology grant. The purpose of a community reads program
is to promote literacy, social interaction, and weave together different
elements of our town through discussion of a common topic. This year Abraham
Lincoln is our theme. Whether you prefer fiction or non-fiction, we invite you
to explore another controversial war, one that touched the town of Manchester
150 years ago. The Trustees hope to have the mystery statue, America honoring
her Dead, on display for this program.
